Customers utilize our services when they are having issues keeping their laboratories adequately stocked with lab supply products.  These problems include being out of product, expired product, expired materials left on shelves, and numerous other issues which prevent the lab from performing the necessary testing required. GSS currently provides vendor-managed inventory (VMI) services to several large petrochemical and independent testing facilities across the Gulf Coast. These services include on-site delivery, stocking and inventory of laboratory supplies, sample containers, and solutions. Our motto, "Where Service Matters", encompasses our unique difference. Gulf States Scientific operates out of warehouses in Slidell, Louisiana and Beaumont, Texas. These locations are equipped to handle offloading of freight from eighteen-wheelers and secured storing of freight awaiting delivery to our customers via GSS’s delivery vehicles. Both facilities are wired with 24-hour monitored security systems and fire alarms. Our on-site, three ton forklifts allow us to load and unload pallets weighing in excess of 5,000 pounds, and is operated by well trained and certified warehouse staff. GSS operates a mix of Isuzu NPR box trucks and Ford Transit vans to conduct on-site deliveries. All drivers have OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety training, TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials) cards, as well as on-site training specific to each customer.
